Raphael Debes Chan Spinola Costa is a criminal lawyer and joined Castelo Branco Advogados Associados in 2011. He graduated in Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and in Business Administration at the University Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Postgraduate in Criminal Procedure at the Institute of Economic and European Criminal Law (IDPEE) of the University of Coimbra/Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences (IBCCrim), and in Economic and Corporate Criminal Law at the Brazilian Law School (EDB). Postgraduate student in Criminal Law and Criminology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS).

Currently, he is associated with the Center for the Study of Law Firms (CESA). Rapporteur of the Brazilian Bar (OAB/SP) Selection and Registration Committee (2015 to 2018; 2022 to 2024). Advisor to the 4th Appeal Chamber of the Brazilian Bar Court Court (OAB/SP) (2014 to 2016). Advisor to the Brazilian Bar Rights and Prerogatives Commission (2016 to 2018). He is the author of several legal articles published in scientific journals.
