Our founder, Tales Castelo Branco, is nationally recognized for his uncompromising carrer in the defense of his clients, even in the most acute moments of the military dictatorship in Brazil, when he acted fearlessly in favor of political prisoners and against repression. Throughout his career, he has held prominent positions in the defense of lawyer’s rights. He was vice-president and counselor of the Brazilian Bar Association and president of the São Paulo Lawyer’s Institute (IASP), in addition to being a counselor of the São Paulo Bar Association.
As a professor and author, he effectively contributed to the criminal law landscape in Brazil, having published “Da prisão em flagrante” and “Teoria e prática dos recursos criminais”, in addition to numerous articles and legal studies. He works as a strategic consultant at Castelo Branco Advogados Associados, contributing with his unique experience and knowledge in the most complex cases managed by the firm.
